About Adam Gant

Adam Gant is a real estate investor with both an inventive mind and a passion for improving the lives of families caught up in the distortions of today’s housing market.

A thought leader who is frequently consulted on topics ranging from residential real estate to retail, office, industrial, hospitality, land development and senior care, he has a depth of experience with both privately held real estate funds and public real estate investment vehicles. He has lived and worked in cities around the world, from Southeast Asia and Singapore to Eastern Europe.

His passion for making housing affordable and available extends to his philanthropic work with charities that seek to provide shelter to people and populations in need.

He has been an active supporter of Live Different, an organization that works to improve conditions for families in Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. He works closely with Vaden Earle, the organization’s founder and a popular author. Another focus of Adam Gant’s philanthropy is The Silhouette Foundation, which helped coordinate relief efforts in the aftermath of the recent earthquake in Haiti.

In his own community, Adam Gant has volunteered at the Our Place Society’s inner-city community center, which serves the working poor, the impoverished elderly, the mentally and physically challenged, and the homeless in the Vancouver suburb of Victoria.

He advised and facilitated the transaction for the Greater Victoria Housing Society in its $2 million dollar acquisition of an apartment building that is part of the charity’s local affordable housing program.

Originally from Kelowna, British Columbia in the Okanagan Valley, Adam Gant studied engineering physics at the University of British Columbia. He was also a member of the class of 2011 EO Entrepreneurial Masters hosted by MIT at the Endicott College in Boston, and has attended numerous executive education programs, including “Mergers and Acquisitions” and “Financial Management” at the Wharton School of Business.

In Canada, the U.S. and beyond, he is celebrated as a leading thinker on issues related to the housing finance system. His approach takes into account how central bank strategies, immigration policy and market trends affect the ability of individuals and families to find affordable housing.

Adam Gant serves as an advisor to several real estate groups, including REAfe Advisory, which provides practical solutions to real estate businesses that seek new ways to streamline operations, increase revenues and manage acquisition, finance, capital structuring and sourcing funding.

An active sportsman, Adam Gant has trained with the National Rowing Team at their facilities in Victoria. He also enjoys mountain climbing and hiking.
